GRAPHIC DESIGNER
The Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for producing on-brand and on-strategy creative assets for a variety of clients in various mediums. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with our Brand Strategists, the Graphic Designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing and be able to find the right style and layout for every project. A strong portfolio is required.
This individual works under the leadership of the Creative Director and must be able to multi-task, as they will be responsible for the visual aesthetic and strategy for multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with Brand Strategists on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, collateral, signage, emails, newsletters, digital display ads, logos, social media graphics, and other marketing materials.
· Translate strategic direction into innovative graphics, layouts, and campaigns for a wide range of projects and media that meet client objectives and adhere to set strategy.
· Efficiently juggle multiple projects, anticipate needs, and oversee deadlines, delivering from concept through to completion.
· Develop concepts and execute original content and content that fits within an established brand identity by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
· Articulate the logic and purpose of design choices.
· Give direction on photo shoots and video shoots, including creating storyboards and collaborating with editors during post-production work.
· Update web pages for clients as needed.
· Manage email marketing campaigns, including template design.
· Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in print, digital media, and social media design.
· Communicate with the team, manage deadlines, and upload proofs through the Basecamp project management software.
· Perform regular check-ins with the Creative Director to ensure departmental efficiency.
· Anticipate departmental, client, or project needs in advance and communicate concerns with the Creative Director.
· Receive input from the Creative Director to ensure designs meet brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the client appropriately.
· Work independently as well as collaboratively with Brand Strategists to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
· Regularly meet with clients and clearly communicate design concepts, ongoing campaign creative and budget changes.
· Direct outside vendors, such as freelancers, directors, or printers as needed.
· Exhibit strong time and project management skills to ensure deadlines are met.

Job Requirements
· Minimum 5 years of experience working as a professional graphic designer specifically related to print, digital, and social; preferably in an agency environment.
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), Microsoft products (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint), and Apple office suite products (Keynote).
· Competency in producing for multiple formats – print, web, digital, mobile, social media, and video. Motion graphics skills that can be used in creating animated digital ads is a plus.
· Passion for creative problem-solving and dedication to delivering impactful visual solutions.
· Ability to manage multiple open projects and deadlines simultaneously.
· Ability to collaborate with a team and incorporate constructive feedback.
· Ability to communicate within multiple channels, including but not limited to email and chat/pings.
· Ability to independently prioritize and manage workflow through Basecamp or similar project management software.
· Strong critical thinking skills.
· Skilled in effective and clear communication, both verbally and written.
· Strong interpersonal skills to manage ongoing client relationships.
· Knowledge of animation, motion graphics, and video production is a plus.
